New friends are asked to sign our guest book at the front entrance and/or fill out one of the "We would like" sheets which may be found at the back of the Red Psalm books and place on the plate or give to the minister. If you are new to our area we invite you to worship with us regularly. Following the service all present are invited to the lower hall for tea, coffee, juice and conversation.

CARING FOR OUR COMMUNITY: As God's family gathered in this place we call St. Timothy's, we are called to be a community of disciples - followers and learners of Jesus. There is much of value that takes place here. Stewardship of our financial gifts is an important part of our humble path. Good stewards believe giving is an investment, with God's eternal values in mind. The promise we made together at our annual general meeting to give generously to the upkeep and ministry of our church has gone reasonably well this year. Thanks be to God! We find, once again at the end of September, that we have accumulated about 60% of our annual goal. As usual, special envelopes will be provided for second mile gifts so that we might keep our promise to one another - and to our Lord. Let us return generously and cheerfully to God some of that which He has freely given us. We will keep you updated on our progress. 2011 Target: $165,000.00 Progress by Sept. 30: $103,539.00 = 63%

INTERIM OFFERING STATEMENTS for those using envelopes or who are on the PAR programme for the year up to October 9th are now available from the mail slots. Please pick up yours today to save on postage.

BOARD OF MANAGERS meets on Tuesday at 7:30p.m.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY: On November 6th we will gather for worship to remember those who have fallen in the service of God and country. You are invited to bring items of remembrance, (photos, medals, etc.) to place on the Communion table before worship. Also paper poppies will be distributed on which you may insert the name of a loved one(s) that you may wish to recall especially. There will be an opportunity during the service to affix those poppies to a wreath being prepared for this purpose. Our Veterans are encouraged to wear their medals.

ELECTION OF ELDERS: On November 6, 2011 a Congregational Meeting will be held with the express intention of electing to the Session of St. Timothy's several new elders. If you plan to approach someone to ask them to consider letting their name stand, please do so soon! Having done that, please let our Clerk of Session, George McCully know. George will be happy to help you complete this simple process. Please be praying for our church, that God might continue to provide us with good and faithful leaders.

WALK FOR WATERCAN DONATIONS: Thank you to all who supported our Walk-a-Thon with donations. We raised $704 toward our WaterCan project. Well done St. Timothy's! Instead of a receipt the amount of your donations will be added to your yearly offerings. If you have any questions please contact Nic Larouche 613-521-4658.

CANDY CANE BAZAAR - November 19th...10:30am-1:30pm. It is time to get in gear for our annual Bazaar. Ask yourself what you can do to help! Will it be baking your favourite treats, whipping up a batch of fudge, a few jars of home made relish, something for the deli, donating some gently used Christmas decorations (no lights, please), costume jewellery, books (no magazines or computer books) or other special items for the Treasures room, something special for the silent auction, creating a unique craft, or perhaps you would like to help make and/or serve lunch, work at a booth or be a parking control officer? Or, become one of the unsung heroes behind the scenes by helping with the set-up or take-down. Our Bazaar is most successful when the entire St. Timothy's family contributes and there are opportunities for everyone to contribute. Stay tuned for more information, but in the meantime you can contact Linda Walker, Bazaar Convener at 613-733-7084 or bl.walker@sympatico.ca to offer your help or if you have donations for the silent auction.
